A solid wood end cap for soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass and C melody saxophones. It clicks into the neck receiver and stays put, held by spring loaded plastic balls that won't mar the receiver and click in and out for millions of cycles. Finished in nothing but beeswax.
What does an end cap even do?
Cases are built expecting an end plug in that receiver: the cap fills the space at the top of the body so the horn rides braced instead of shifting inside, and on many horns it protects the body side octave key.
Okay, but why wood?
Because the world has enough plastic in it at this point and Wood & Winds is here to make a better class of product for saxophonists and woodwind players. Plastic is implemented thoughtfully and minimally.
And what's worse is the 'cheap plastic' option just keeps going up in price anyway.
