US Tariffs Update

Like you, Wood & Winds has been paying close attention to the tariff situation. Most of my customers are in the USA and, as a Canadian company, we've been concerned with what this might mean for the business.

What's the Situation with Tariffs?

Most of our customers live in the US (thank you🙏), the recent changes to the de minimis exemptions has been a concern for Wood & Winds because our customers would have to pay some very large tariffs on our products. The good news is that because our products are actually made in Canada, we still qualify for USCMA tariff exemptions. This means that customers can shop knowing that they won't face additional tariffs on their purchases.

We have always taken pride in handcrafting our products in Canada. Even with the use of exotic woods, these materials are transformed from raw lumber into true Products of Canada which allows us to continue selling in the US.

Any Issues at the Border?

While there have been a couple of delays in shipments at the border due to these policy changes, the good news is that we are experiencing very few issues. This means that customers can still expect timely delivery of their orders, despite the challenges posed by the tariffs.
