No soldering, no gluing, just put this over the metal spud and lightly tighten the set screw.
This thumb rest is a must-have for people playing old Conn, Martin or Buescher saxophones with the original pearl thumb rest. I have been performing on a Buescher baritone sax for years and this is easily the worst part of playing that horn for me. It also just so happens to be a nice looking accessory if you are merely looking to customize your modern horn.
Please order the diameter that will fit over your metal spud. A set screw is built into the thumbrest to hold it in place.
These thumb rests are made from solid wood. Please state the make, model, instrument voice (i.e. soprano, alto, tenor, baritone).
